The Peer Review was conducted by an independent CPA firm under standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), which is the national professional organization of CPAs.  The reviewers concluded that CS&L is in compliance with the stringent quality control standards as promulgated and monitored by AICPA.  The report was issued without a letter of comments which is the highest level of report a CPA firm can receive. 

CS&L has participated in the AICPA Peer Review Program since its inception.  Firms participating in the program must undergo an external Peer Review conducted by an independent CPA firm every three years.  The Peer Review process evaluates the Firm’s compliance with established professional procedures and standards for performing audit and accounting services, as well as quality control standards. 

The Peer Review process includes an extensive inspection of a representative sample of the Firm’s completed audit and accounting engagements to ensure compliance with technical and quality control standards.  The process also includes a review of the Firm’s Human Resources function to ensure that the firm adheres to strict hiring practices, provides proper training and supervision of employees and self-monitors the process.
