CS&L CPAs Celebrates Milestone Anniversary by Launching “CS&L CAREs” Program

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, CS&L CPAs launched a new philanthropic initiative called “CS&L CAREs,” to provide a platform for employees to get more involved in the community.

As a firm, CS&L is committed to making impactful contributions in the surrounding communities through donating volunteer hours, in-kind contributions, sponsorship dollars, fundraising and more. CS&L CAREs is more than just a name for the firm’s frequent outreach efforts; the program has been established as a way to remind the team of everyone’s responsibility to give back and provide opportunities to do so.

To kick off the initiative, the firm held weekly “Jeans Day” fundraisers during the month of August, in which a different non-profit was the recipient of donations if an employee wore jeans to work on Friday. In total, $1,000 was raised for five local organizations and causes.

As part of the CS&L CAREs program, every month CS&L will focus on serving or donating to a local non-profit. That may mean hosting a food drive, internal fundraiser, assembling a 5k race team, or other coordinated outreach effort to bring together CS&L employees and local non-profits. The initiative has received an overwhelmingly positive response from employees, as seen through the high participation in the August kick-off fundraiser and support for upcoming events.

The next CS&L CAREs activity is the Manatee Glens “Walk for Life” on Saturday, Sept. 27th.
