On Friday, Feb. 13th, CS&L CPAs hosted a unique contest to support area organizations. Employees were asked to participate in a cookie decorating contest called “Cookies for Charity,” where winners of the contest would have an opportunity to award funds to local non-profits.
The contest was developed as part of the firm’s CS&L CAREs program, which provides CS&L employees with frequent opportunities to help local organizations in fun, engaging ways. The firm has received 100% participation among employees in only six months since establishing the CS&L CAREs program.
The cookies were heart-shaped in celebration of Valentine’s Day, but there was no theme or rule for how they could be decorated. CS&L’s “Fun Committee” named the winners.
The top three winners chose to donate funds to the following organizations:
$250 – American Cancer Society
$100 – Humane Society of Manatee County
$50 – American Heart Association
